Policies
Please take the time to review my classroom policies so that you know what I expect throughout the year.
Classroom Expectations/Rules
Amador School and Classroom Rules:
Be Respectful
Be Responsible
Be Ready to Learn
As a class we will discuss and model what these expectations will look like in our classroom during the beginning of the year (and throughout the year as needed). Some examples are listed below.
- We promise to be kind to each other.
- We promise to be respectful listeners.
- We promise to follow directions the first time.
- We promise to keep our classroom beautiful.
- We promise to always try our very best.
- We promise to have fun learning!
Behavior Policy
Every student is expected to try their best both in and out of the classroom. A huge emphasis is placed on taking responsibility for one's own actions and facing the consequences that may result.
I firmly believe in a positive learning environment. When disruption takes place everyone loses valuable learning time. Students will move their clothespin either up or down on the Behavior Clip Chart depending on their behavior.
At the end of each day your child will receive a hole punch on their behavior reward punch card if good choices were made throughout the day and ended the day on "Ready to Learn" (green) or above on the Behavior Clip Chart. Please be sure to check in with your child daily on how their day went. Periodically I will be sending emails or handwritten notes home regarding behavior choices good or poor. Keep a look out for these emails or notes in your child's Communication/ Homework Folder. Bridging the gap between school and home is key to positive behavior at school.
I'm looking forward to a wonderful school year!
